Through discussion, reflection, and practice-based examples, participants will learn how to integrate strengths-based principles into their daily work with clients. Attendees will explore ways to reframe client challenges as opportunities for growth, recognize resilience, and empower clients by helping them identify and use their existing strengths. Participants will leave with renewed perspectives and practical strategies for fostering hope, motivation, and collaboration in their work with individuals, families, and communities.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Identify the key principles and values that guide strengths-based social work practice.
- Reframe client “deficits” or challenges into strengths using real-world case examples.
- Develop strategies to empower and motivate clients through strength recognition and collaborative goal setting.
