The NASW-MD Awards recognize the impactful work of social workers throughout 2025–2026. These awards honor Maryland social workers who have demonstrated exceptional advocacy, service, support, and education within communities, programs, and systems over the past year.
Social workers from any sector are eligible. Nominees must reside in Maryland and be a current NASW-MD member.
Award recipients will receive:
- Free registration for one day of the NASW-MD Clinical/Macro Conference
- An Awards Luncheon during the Clinical/Macro Conference
- A framed certificate recognizing their achievement
Nominations must be submitted by May 31, 2026.
Social Work Month was first celebrated in March 1963 to build public support for the profession. Today, it is observed by hundreds of thousands of social workers and supporters nationwide each year.
